Chassidut

Over the past 300 years the teachings of Chassidut has enlightened and enriched Judaism. We will view it from the perspective of one of its great schools of thought. Rabbi Nachman of Breslov.

Goal: Enrich your life.

Entrepreneurial Judaism. New!

For those interested on making an impact in the Jewish world.

An entrepreneur is a manager of an enterprise who is successful through risk and initiative to shift resources out of lower and into higher productivity and greater yield.

The story of Chabad of Brandeis is a classic tale of Entrepreneurial Judaism. Peretz will take you behind the scenes and under the hood so you can learn how to become an Entrepreneurial Jew.

You will not become a Chabadnik in this class, rather you will gain a deeper understanding of a phenomenon that is sweeping the Jewish world which you can learn from.

Goal: Empower you to make a difference

In Depth Torah. Renewed!

Word by word, verse by verse, we will study the Torah in depth. You will be blown away by its depth and nuances, but most excitingly, you will find your voice in the Torah. This is not a weekly parsha (Torah Portion) class.

Goal: Gain a deeper appreciation for the Torah (Five books of Moses)

Innovation and Change in Orthodox Judaism. New!

Evolution is the fact of life. Learn how Judaism has dealt with this phenomenon, in particular the heavily regulated stream of Orthodoxy,. We will examine it through the lives of key personalities of the last century, including Professor Solomon Shechter, Rabbi Mordechai Kaplan, Rabbi Soloveitchik, the Lubavitcher Rebbe and others.

Goal: Receive a deeper appreciation for the nuances of Judaism's challenges

Judaism in a Semester

Have you ever been overwhelmed by Judaism? Wanted to get a grip on it but felt unable to? Judaism in a Semester is your solution. In one semester you will be exposed to the entirety of Judaism, from History to Ideas to Ritual. All classes are visually based.

Goal: Receive a broad overview of Judaism

Mysticism

Disclaimer: Madonna will not be participating in this class. Nonetheless, if you are interested in becoming acquainted with the Torah’s deepest dimension, then this is for you. We will be studying ancient Kaballistic concepts and texts, and discussing its contemporary relevance.

Goal: Experience the extraordinary perspective offered only by Jewish Mysticism

Talmud

Your mind will be blown away by the intricacies of the Talmud. The precision and in-depth analysis developed over two millennium is one of the Jewish people’s richest heritage. Come take a swim in the ‘Sea of the Talmud’.

Goal: Experience the Talmud

Speak Your Mind & Listen. Renewed!

An interactive conversation about Judaism's relevance and contemporary issues. Every discussion kicks off with an introduction by Rabbi Peretz followed by a lively, no holds barred conversation.

Goal: Speak your mind in an open and comfortable environment and listen to others do the same

The Reasoning of the Mitzvot New!

Get a deeper understanding of the mitzvot (observances/commandments). We will be studying the 14th century text (Sefer HaChinuch) which examines the reasons underlying the mitzvot.

Goal: Receive a lasting understanding of the Mitzvot
