Tuesdays 12:30pm-1:30pm | LUNCH 'N LEARN | Instructor: Chanie or Peretz | Location: Sherman Cafeteria

Have your mind and soul nourished while enjoying your lunch at Sherman. A variety of topics and texts will be explored, based on participants.

Tuesdays 7:15pm-8:15pm | TALMUDIC THRILLS | Instructors: Peretz

Perhaps Judaism’s most fascinating creation is the Talmud. That it remains stimulating two thousand years since its inception is historically unmatched. We will enter this drama and be thrilled by the encounter. For Talmudic novices and seasoned students alike.

Tuesdays 8:30pm-9:30pm | REFRESHING, SHABBAT & KOSHER | Instructors: Peretz & Chanie

Whether you are curious about Jewish practice, or a veteran practitioner, this class will give meaning and substance to your Shabbat and Kosher knowledge and observance. We will examine both pillars of Jewish life in depth.

Wednesdays 7:15pm-8:15pm | A TALE OF TWO VIEWS | Instructor: Peretz

They lived in the same era yet saw the world so differently. Their ideas have carried on for close to a millennia and has shaped Judaism as we know it. Maimonide’s Guide for the Perplexed and Ha’levi’s Kuzari are as relevant today as they were when first published. Come explore its contemporary messages.

Wednesdays 8:30pm-9:30pm | YOU & HIM | Instructor: Chanie

Join Chanie to explore being a Jewish woman in the 21st century and uncover the mystique of Jewish intimacy.

This highly popular class will not be offered in the Spring.

Wednesdays 8:30pm-9:30pm | A WORLD WITHOUT JUDAISM | Instructor: Peretz

This is not sci-fi but a serious exploration of how the world would look if Judaism was never invented, both historically and contemporarily. This exploration will provide a deeper and more critical understanding of what Judaism is about and why it’s important.

Thursday 7:15pm -8:15pm | JUDAISM IN A SEMESTER | Instructor: Peretz

Have you ever been overwhelmed by Judaism? Wanted to get a grip on it but felt unable to? Judaism in a Semester is your solution. In one semester you will be exposed to the entirety of Judaism, from History to Ideas to Ritual. All classes are visually based.

Thursdays 8:30pm-9:30pm | T-WORKOUT | Instructors: Peretz

Just as a healthy lifestyle includes working out one’s body, it also requires a workout of the mind and spirit.

T-WORKOUT will push one’s spirits to its limits, empowering one to live life to its fullest.

T-WORKOUT is built on the ancient structure of Tefillah. It incorporates methods created by Jewish mystics along with contemporary techniques.
